The Language of Love: A Podcast with Ashok Gangadean and Lisa Maroski

Here is my recent podcast with Ashok Gangadean and Lisa Maroski. I thoroughly enjoyed this dialogue, and I am confident you will too. This version is without the Introduction and framing of the dialogue, so I am including that below, so you know who I was engaging with:

The Language of Love

Teilhard de Chardin said that “Love is the most universal, formidable, and mysterious of cosmic energies.” And yet we persist in trying to describe love in oh so many ways throughout the ages. Empedocles, in what became known as The Four Element theory, spoke of the origin of the cosmos in terms of four roots (elements) that were mediated by the forces of love and strife. Love was the force that brought the elements together; strife was what separated them. Brian Swimme, a mathematical cosmologist and storyteller, has similarly spoken of love in terms of allurement, essentially reframing what has been called “gravity” since Newton. If love is what brings seeming opposites together: masculine and feminine, light and dark, fire and water, earth and sky, how do we speak of love itself? What words can embrace love’s seemingly irreconcilable differences, its paradoxes and unknowable aspects? Join us as we dive deep into the subject of the language of love.

Ashok Gangadean is a world renowned global philosopher, author and spiritual activist. He is the Margaret Gest Professor of Global Philosophy at Haverford College where he has taught for the past fifty years. He is author of several books, including Meditations of Global First Philosophy: Quest for the Missing Code of Logos and the audio book- Awakening The Global Mind: A New Philosophy for Healing Ourselves and Our World (with Sounds True). Ashok is also the Founder-Director of the ((Global Dialogue Institute)) which introduced the Seven Stages of Deep Dialogue – innovative technology of Deep Dialogue between worlds in the art of being an awakened Human.

Ashok’s current book in progress – Awakening Global Enlightenment: The Maturation of our Species – reaches out to the widest possible global audience and is also being drafted as a potential feature movie script revealing the “greatest ((story)) never told” – quest for the missing Source Code of codes. Ashok just released a double CD audio presenting this project – as a “movie trailer”. www.unumbeing.com

Lisa Maroski studied philosophy and psychology at Bryn Mawr College – Ashok was one of her teachers in philosophy … because Bryn Mawr and Haverford have this intertwined relationship …. She works together in the fields of psychology, philosophy, linguistics, and evolutionary consciousness. She is the author of the novel The One that is Both and her new book is called Embracing Paradox, Evolving Language: Expressing the Unity and Complexity of Integral Consciousness, which I heartily endorse. Lisa is also a long-time member of the Jean Gebser Society, and board member with me there, and has practiced Argentine tango around the world.

Enjoy!

Love and Blessings,

Glenn
