Glenn, i agree about undoing Citizens United and Congress with regard to war powers yet the recent name change to War Department sure seems a step in the opposite direction. An while i too have a similar desire for change for the positive, i think many people have not come to terms with some of the horrors from the get-go; for example, George Washington abetted the Sullivan Expedition a "scorched-earth campaign in the territory of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy"(wikipedia) and in 1786 GW "the foundation of a great Empire is laid". Check out "The Rising American Empire" by Richard W. Van Alstyne, ample references and quotes to show the expansionist greed and how the colonizers knew what they were doing, building empire; so in that broader context i don't consider that much of an "experiment". And perhaps the arc of justice will catch up with BO who was ok with wars costing trillions$. If only they all actually studied and lived the Great Law of Peace we the people... and that includes rivers, birds, fish, trees... would all find life a more pleasant experience.
